Synopsis
Oscar-winner Joan Crawford stars as a woman who uses and abandons men--clawing her way from poverty to wealth and social status--a woman who knows that The Damned Don't Cry! Crawford gives one of her best performances as Ethel Whitehead, an empowered woman who leaves her laborer husband and squalid factory town behind to find a new, better life. Watching my Blu-ray of The Damned Don't Cry (1950) with the legendary Mrs. Joan Crawford. Electrifying performance. Joan always gives her best in each role.
As I mentioned before that collecting my favorite classic movies, with my favorite stars, it makes me happy. I feel as if I have their films on the best platform (Blu-ray and 4K) there is, it's like I'm closer to them or a part of their history or legacy, and their films being restored and released physically is keeping them alive.
Collecting is so "cathartic" I guess you could say. Also like retro slashers, my two favorite genres, 'Classic Hollywood' and 'Retro Slashers'. They both give me a sense of comfort.
