Is there a title, franchise, series, etc. that maybe
A) isn't the most well-received B) a bit different than your demographic C) you have mostly been shy to admit you love And you want to take the opportunity to express your love for it here? I'll start with a few. The Village. It has consistently gotten negative feedback and I never understood why. I think the story is so incredibly clever and I love the suspense. I can watch it over and over for different reasons each time. The Life of David Gale currently a 19% on RT and 31% on metacritic. I'll leave out the obvious elephant in the room involving Spacey today, but this one rocks me each time. Not many movies still move me but this does and I think it's the score. Side note, early Melissa Mcarthy career role. Pirates of the Caribbean series Yes, they have gotten worse each film. Yes, Depp has lost his marbles. I just find them fun to get lost in. The visuals are always excellent, creaking ships and cannon blasts do wonders for my surround sound, and I have a swashbuckling blast watching them. Obviously it is a massively successful franchise but I feel most people (outside of Comic Con) don't walk around expressing true love for PotC. |
