That would be rad if there was a VHS of this. The academy ratio (1.33) wouldn't miss a thing.

Jonah went to hilarious lengths to oversell his indie cred on the talk show and PR circuit with the starving artist beard, new tattoos, earrings, broshades and nonstop talk of 90s hip hop. This does look like a fun throwback to my childhood and so I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Loved the soundtrack but was so-so on the film. Will most likely preorder at this price and hope for a commentary.

haha.... yeah, and his PR blitz turned me off to the movie and Jonah, who I had always been a fan of. I hate to slam the guy for being excited about the movie, but he was shot out of a cannon in every appearance. Having a writer/director out there overselling his own work came off as incredibly pretentious to me (the height of it for me was when he discounted the negative reviews as people solely out there to counter the positive reviews - there was no scenario where his movie could not be universally loved). If I had to hear one more time how this movie is his "heart"....

I'm still getting this and want to see it, I just have to try and get Jonah's "this is my heart! It's my HEART!" out of my head while I'm watching it.

This was actually a fun watch. I was surprised to learn how many were turned off and unwilling to watch it because of its aspect ratio.

This was an incredible viewing experience and Jonah Hill, unlock some actors who directed a movie this year just to win an Oscar, actually shows he has talent and ability to move onto a career in directing. Very well told simple story of coming of age that hit me a couple of times. Bradley Cooper should take notes from Jonah as should any actor who wants to take a stab at directing...

One of 2018's best films.

Can anybody who have the blu-ray confirm if it's region locked? It says so on the back of the slip but often it's region free anyway. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is Region A locked.

Lionsgate is pretty much the only major studio in the US that still region locks the majority of their releases.

Unable to find a thread for the UK release of this, but that releases carries over the commentary and deleted scene included on this release and is included in HMV's 2 for £20 offer on new releases!

The irony is in the 90's those same people would be complaining about watching a widescreen presentation on a CRT TV.
