Well, this is a surprise... then again, I Have a Date with Spring got a Blu-ray earlier this year so nothing should surprise me anymore.

Painted Skin is Alex Law's 1988 drama about Yu Jim Yuen, master of the China Drama Academy that trained Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, and Yuen Biao among others (hence the Chinese title). Starring an award-winning turn from Sammo Hung playing his real life master.

This has been very hard to find, and never got a release after the Laser Disc days; it didn't even come out on VCD!

It was a Golden Harvest and Shaw Brothers co-production, but it looks like Celestial own it now and it's being sold as part of the Shaw Brothers library.

EDIT: Now there's non-blurry box art, I can see the Fortune Star logo on the cover too. Guess it's still jointly owned, but Celestial must have the distribution rights.
