Default Won't someome have to release some HD DVDs?

Just thinking... What would happen if Paramount indeed did decide to go Blu-ray exclusive and then Universal decided to also. Doesn't somebody HAVE to keep releasing stuff on HD DVD? That could bring a whole mess of trouble. Thoughts?

If they both go that'll kill it. The smaller studios dont matter.....if there's any out there that still do HD.........Plus people arent going to buy a format that only deals in 2nd line studios and I doubt any other studios would come on board. Once UNI & Paramount go it'll be RIP. Paramount will probably honor their contract to justify the bribe and UNI, if they dont have a contract, can go at any time. If they're smart they'll go Blu soon and The Bourne movies will be their 1st Blu releases.
