Default Too tight slipcovers!!!

Just got my Amazing Spider-Man and the slipcover was so damn tight there was no way it was coming off (and believe me I tried everything) so I had to rip it. I've had this happen more often lately, especially on the slightly larger 3-disc cases.

Anyone else have this happen? (and yes, I tried slipping something inbetween, etc, etc, and absolutely nothing worked, it was simply too small for the case).

It has only happened once to me but I can't remember the movie. I didn't care really because I don't collect slipcovers.

I've had this issue once or twice in the past, but it was never so severe that I had to rip the slip cover off.

It should just be a simple matter of cutting the plastic wrapper at the top and sliding the case out of there. Then take out the plastic wrap from inside the slipcover.

That seems like it would be a good idea. Will remember that for when I get my The Amazing Spiderman if it is to tight.

That should work in most instances. Of course, there are times when the shrinkwrap is heat-sealed onto the spine of the Blu-ray keepcase, which would render this option unfeasible.

In those instances where the slipcover is difficult to remove, I just lay the item on a flat suface and push the keepcase from the bottom up.

Same exact scenario here, too.

Tell me about it! Sliding the Brave metal pack into the Brave 3D Lenticular slipcover (so I could keep both ) was hard! So tight! But it works! Just gotta be careful when sliding the metal pack out to watch the movie lol

Default Too Loose Slipcovers!!!

Sorry for changing the thread.

I have a problem with one slipcover that is too loose. What can I do?

I tried cooling it in the freezer hoping it would shrink or contract.

Only time I thought that I would have to maybe tear the slip was with the Logan exclusive from target. Took me a good 10 minutes to get that slip off of the book.

If anything, I usually experience loose slips.

I had the same problem with my Amazing Spider-Man slip cover. I spent about a half hour alternately pushing on both sides. At first, I wasn't making any headway. I didn't want to tear it, so I just kept on alternating the pressure. I thought once it started moving, it would slip off fairly quickly. I was wrong. That slipcase fought me the whole time. When I got about half-way, my hands slipped. I thought I'd ripped it, but no! I decided to get a slim case to tap it out. It finally came out fast once it was about 3/4 of the way out. I took off the plastic, and putting the case back into the slip cover was a lot easier. Now it's probably still the tightest of all my slip covers, but at least I can take it off and put it back on within a few seconds. I'm glad I didn't tear the slip cover, but it sure wasn't fun at all trying to get it off.

Never happened to me, and I prefer tight slips as they rarely get damaged during shipping. I miss old Disney releases like the trilogy of Toy Story in 3D. Probably the most pristine slips I own!

This is annoying me right now. I can't get a uhd case out of the slipcover and it's been driving me crazy for about ten minutes straight. This happened another time but it's been a while.

Murder on the Orient Express on uhd. I still haven't been able to remove it from the slip after a lot of time and agony. The only other title I can recall with an extremely stubborn slip was Disney's The Three Mouseketeers.
