‘Monster Party’ Director Takes on ‘Crawl’ Writers’ ‘The Unheard

Director Chris von Hoffmann will direct the horror film “The Unheard,” an existing spec script from “Crawl” scribes Michael and Shawn Rasmussen, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

There are no story details as of this writing.

The Rasmussen brothers will also executive produce the project. Burn Later Productions, which produced films like the Sundance entries “Hearts Beat Loud” and “Drinking Buddies,” as well as Regina Hall’s “Support the Girls,” is producing the film.

Their most recent project, “Crawl,” opened last weekend and grossed $12 million its opening weekend. It starred Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper and received rave reviews by critics, scoring “fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes. Alexandre Aja directed.
