Someone recommended this in the Ghost Stories thread, so I blind bought it. Glad I did.

I was cheesed off when I saw Blair Witch Project in the theater. It hurt to watch all the shakey cam crap, and even though the acting was great, there wasn't any supernatural stuff until the last 20 seconds of the film. This movie did the found footage thing a lot better. There was a steady build along with tension releases through comedy, the supernatural element made its entrance early on, and the ending was satisfying, even if it didn't show everything. The acting was solid, but the thing that impressed me the most was the sound design. The director has a real sense for building terror with sound. The mix was extremely sophisticated.

The film is cheap at Amazon.de and that appears to be the only release of the film. If you have an order to make there, tag this one on with the shipment. It's a scary and fun movie.
