Default Spetters (1980)

Didn't see a thread for this.

Just got my copy in the mail, was a blind buy.

Watched the trailer, and it just dawned on me that RAD (1986) - one of my favs - seems to be a family-friendly BMX remake of Spetters??!

Will give a full watch this week, but many of the scenes in the Spetters trailer are present in RAD (same camera angles, same terrain, same theme, etc), except with a much more family friendly BMX spin.

SPETTERS

RAD

..even the main song "thunder in your heart" from RAD seems to be a slower paced remake of the trailer music from Spetters?

Maybe others have made this observation, but it was really suprising for me! The end result is two very different movies, but amazing how many scenes seem to be copy/pasted in structure and look.
