Default Just signed up, wanted to say Hello

Hello all. I am a recent convert from HD-DVD to Blu-ray, and just wanted to say hello. I have been lurking here for about a month, as I was thinking of getting a Blu-ray player and wondering about which to get. I settled on the Sony BDP-S300, and I am really liking it. When the news broke about WB moving from HD-DVD to Blu, I did what most red supporters would consider horrible. I sold off my collection of HD movies and my Xbox 360 drive. I am now Tru-Blu. I am just building my collection of Blu, starting last week, and am looking forward to the discussion and the news available on this site.

Welcome to blu-ray.com and Blu-ray. Ack! you sold off your HD DVDs!? Gosh they still work and the quality from neutral studios was about the same on many.

Again, welcome and I hope you find this forum as welcoming and informative as I have.

Sold them off, because I'll just re-buy them on Blu-ray. Only one that I really want to replace was the Matrix Box-set. Shouldn't have to wait too long for that.

wow - you sold them all. Even the stuff that was HD-DVD Exclusive? Well, I guess it's only a matter of time.

Nice to have you here, and I hope you enjoy it

I'm hearing that it might be Christmas of 2008. I'll loan you my SD DVD version if you get the shakes.

So far, Planet Earth, POTC trilogy, and the most recent purchase is Spiderman trilogy.
