Question about international shipping from UK - Blu-ray Forum

First of apologies if this is the wrong section.

I live in Canada and I've decided to order a few blu rays from Amazon UK. This is the first time I have purchased from there.

The movies I had in my cart were all sold directly from Amazon, however when I was at the checkout it changed to sold and dispatched by Amazon EU S.a.r.l The other weird part is that prices on all of my items got reduced which made me think that this is being handled by third party sellers.

Again this is my first time ordering from there so excuse my ignorance if this is a common thing but can someone shed some light on what that means exactly and why the prices also reduced at the checkout?

Amazon EU S.arl is Amazon UK, no worries there. And the price went down once the site got your non-UK address. The prices listed include the VAT, or Value Added Tax, which is only charged to European customers.

Sorry for bumping this thread, but has it become a norm for Amazon UK now not to name the courier/postal service used to deliver international orders? Several of my latest orders do not have a delivery service named on despatch. All that it says is the following:

Your package shipped on Monday, 8 October.
will deliver your package. This package doesn't have a tracking ID.

Has anyone else had this issue lately?
