Question Blu-ray titles that have the original camera negative as the scan source?

How common is it to have the scans sourced from the OCN? And... has anyone compiled a list of titles anywhere?

Way too many to count. The closest I can think of is this thread...

...as most negative scans are usually done in 4K. There are exceptions such as using fine grain master positives (primarily for older black and white films) and interpositives.

There are also 2K negative scans such as Blow Out, The Fury, The Killing, The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, Time Bandits

Why would they scan a 35mm negative at 2K? Is it really THAT much cheaper than 4K?

Time, money, industry standards.. etc
They were done years ago before people realized that 4K scans still look better than 2K scans even when shown at 2K because of supersampling.
