Default The Hunted

Man, where is this movie? I can't wait for a blu release. I see Germany has a release of it but it's region B.

Seriously? No one else wants this movie? I loved it. Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Del Toro and the super awesome survival knife that I still want to get.

Man, that thing is a beauty.

Geez . . . for a minute there, I thought we were talking about the Christopher Lambert Samurai / Ninja movie . . . which would be nice to see in Blu.

I'm totally with you, buddy. I always enjoy Del Toro. I do believe that the German release is actually Region Free, at least someone posted that it is. I could be wrong, was hoping not to have to import it though. Would love to see a US release as well.

I hope they do put out a R1 version soon. Loved the movie and it's attempt at "realism". My only gripe with the plot was that Tommy Lee's character, although he was a master of combat knife arts, was not practiced. Del Toro's character kept "practicing". As well as how to move around his environment in stealth.

If one doesn't practice any type of skill...

And how was Tommy Lee's character able to be in any condition to fight after having a wood spike driven in his thigh? Having lost so much flood. Swimming for his life in the rapids... He would be off balance and serious out of breath. Let along be able to walk...put any pressure on that leg...things he would need in a knife fight to the death. Then there's age...

Del Toro's character would have to be sniped from afar. Or be baited into a cleaver "trap within a trap" for a kill.

Unhappy Paramount needs to put the pedal to the metal!

The Hunted is one of the best thrillers ever made and it needs a bluray! I`ll never understand why this movie isn`t more popular. Benicio Del Toro is one of my favorite actors along with Tommy Lee Jones. Now that Warner`s deal with Paramount is done I don`t see Paramount giving much love to releasing their catalog titles on bluray unfortunately. I hope I`m wrong

Grabbed the DVD from Hastings. With all the mud and blood, this is begging for HD. Great movie as well. Lean and mean. Tons of action plus a car chase in only 90 minutes.

Great movie. I've watched both The Hunteds at least a dozen times apiece.

Just adding my vote for this to be released for Region A on blu-ray; I've been waiting and looking for years now.

There's a region free import available from Germany. I purchased mine about a week ago on Amazon. Plays fine.

Awesome news. Thank you for sharing it. How is the quality? For now, I just have my DVD copy, but usually stream it on Netflix when the mood strikes.

I really like this film and would like to own it on blu-ray but I can't even find a region free copy of it anywhere.

I saw The Hunted when it came out in theaters, and a couple of times since then on DVD. Very underrated & well-done film, and one of Friedkin's best. The storyline was slightly similar to the original First Blood film, but a lot darker.

I know the film has gotten crapped on over the years, but I thought it was great - and would definitely like to see this on Blu.

Could try out the region-free version from Germany if it's still up. Got mine a couple of years back - not the best PQ and I hate the lack of English subtitles but I'm happy to have purchased it. Such an underrated action/thriller.
