Default Got MISSION IMPOSSIBLE box set!!!

Just got it today in the mail... I have to go to work so I dont have time to watch it but I did pop in 2 and 3 really quick. Lets just say regarding part 3 that Peter and Chad were not lying!!!! This is the most amazing PQ I have seen on BD period. I only watched the first ten minutes(very intense) and had to force myself to turn it off!!! I will watch it tonight when I get home.. Next up I tossed in part 2 just to see the rock climbing sequence. I was dissapointed!!! Im not sure if part 3 was so perfect that it ruins everything else or it was just bad!!! I have never been bothered by grain but I was this time although colors really popped out... Like I said I only watched a bit of each so take it for what its worth. But I guarantee you will be amazed by 3!!!!

I want you to tell us what pt.1 is like when Ethan sticks his head out from the train carraige of the French TGV.

Well, remember that if the disc is overly grainy, it was probably a style choice on the part of the director, and not something that could have been avoided. Basically, it wouldn't look any better on HD-DVD. Though I'm glad the reviews for MI:3 were correct.

I agree and wouldnt want something touched up if thats how it was meant to be. The opening shot of the city in 2 is really bad but I checked the standard DVD and its bad there too(not sure if it is grain or noise)!!! Its just magnified on the BD version. I fastforward a couple chapters and its not nearly as bad as the opening. I watched all of 3 now and PQ is excellent!!!

Not sure what you want to know???? As far as PQ for 1 (just a quick glance) its not great and its not bad... think Lethal Weapon quality.

Default Does anyone have the full box set of Mission Impossible?

How is the PQ on the entire box set and is it worth getting the whole set? I am leaning towards just getting MI III

Mine shipped, I should be getting in a day or two I would think.

Unfortunately, I have to wait until I get the PS3 to finally have something to play it on.

Ive got it but have yet to see them all the way(except 3)... From what I saw 1&2 are average.... think Lethal Weapon. Now 3???? Well its simply amazing!!!!
In fact 3's PQ is so good, I actually recommend you watch 1 and 2 first because as soon as you see 3, your expectations of hidef will change... It really sets the bar that high!!!! (hope Im not building it up to much for you guys!!!)
Heres a review of the entire box....

I liked 1 because of the freshness of the idea and the clean-room scene.

I liked 3 because it's very JJ Abram's like (but why they'd have to mimic the clean-room scene in 1?). 2 I no likey.

But it seems it's much more economical to get the box set than to wait for 1 to arrive and costs more than 1&3.
