Germany The Haunting of Winchester House AKA Horror House (2009) Blu-ray 3D [Region Free]

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1521787/

http://www.theasylum.cc/

The Asylum Home Entertainment Company produces extreme low-budget digital horrors written and directed by mostly first-time filmmakers and by the company's executives. Based in downtown Burbank, they have a lot chutzpuh, piggybacking home video titles like Snakes On a Train on the theatrical releases of studio productions like Snakes On a Plane, etc. Thus far, their only 3-D film is A Haunting In Salem (2010):

Although typical of The Asylum's product, A Haunting In Salem was shot with two Red Ones aligned by a beam splitter. While I'm not saying it's perfect, the 3-D is authentic and expertly done. The depth is deeper than most contemporary films. To get the most out of the haunted house story, it helps to turn the sound off and just watch the film for its depth.

While searching for 3-D films on Euro amazon sites I came across another haunted house title by The Asylum released in anaglyph. So I emailed the company's Chief Operating Officer to ask if The Haunting of Winchester House were an authentic 3-D film and if it could be released that way domestically:

Richard,

Sorry it’s taken me so long to respond.

Thanks for writing.

The film was shot in actual 3-D.

We don’t currently have any plans to release it in BD, but we’ll definitely consider it.

Paul

Subject: regarding The Haunting In Winchester House

Mr. Bales, I remember you when you were running the indy department at SAG.

Regarding The Haunting In Winchester House. There is an anaglyph (red and blue glasses) version on DVD. Was the film shot in 3-D or converted after the fact to anaglyph? If it was shot in 3-D, I wish you'd release it on 3-D blu-ray, in the authentic stereo system. It would do very well selling to 3-D enthusiasts.

Since this email exchange, the film has been released on blu-ray by Echo Bridge, but not in 3-D. It is unusual for The Asylum not to release its own titles on home video. Let's everybody send an email to The Asylum requesting that The Haunting of Winchester House be released stateside in authentic 3-D for polarized viewing. If the 3-D is half as good as in their other film it will be worthwhile. Here are the addys:
