Finally! I can get rid of the terrible non-anamorphic DVD. I remember seeing this in theater when I was 8 years old and it still holds up today.

Man, I'm glad I saw this thread, I have had the DVD for forever, didn't even realize it was non-anamorphic. That's even more reason to upgrade it to BD. I am all over this, Thanks to the OP.

Cool! I've got one of the original inflatable B-17's that were used as lobby promotional gimmicks,
which is visible in a few of my home theatre gallery photos, such as

Wish I had a one-sheet to go in my display case, but I'll definitely need to order this Blu-ray.
I haven't seen it since it played theatrically and remember it being pretty good, though not
particularly outstanding.

LOVE this movie. I thought I still had the grotty old non-anamorphic DVD, and then I remember I sold it and rebought the laserdisc. My thinking was: 'I might as well have uncompressed audio if I'm gonna have picture quality as shitty as that'.

Great news about the Blu-ray.

Agreed. They're kicking ass this year, for me.

How about Innerspace next?

Warner will be hard to top this year as far as catalog releases. They've already done more than most of the other studios will likely do.

Never bought the DVD but still rock the laserdisc quite often. Will definitely be getting this.

Being a huge fan of vintage airplanes I enjoy this movie but I feel it would have been better to not name it after one of the most famous aircraft of WWII, especially because the story of their final mission as depicted in the film is a complete fabrication.
