Default Home Alone 1 and 2

Too my Amazement it is that time of year again I thought about buying these movies on blu ray.. but they are not available ANYWHERE, Home Alone 1 looks like it is out of print and the 2nd one isn't even released in Australia or Region B.

It puzzles me what we get and don't get there, we get rubbish like Deep Blue Sea 2 but not a holiday classic

Home Alone 2 was originally scheduled for 2010, but was pulled without any reason.

$26 OUCH what they do jack up the price this time of year??

Anyway I don't see Home alone 2 on Region B sadly. I went and bought a new blu ray player that sadly I was lied too that it was region free when it doesn't play region A disks. (Sony do this) wish I knew it before the fact!

Yeah a lot of sales people will say "Region Free" but its only for DVD... even if you specifically ask for Blu-Ray.

If Home Alone is OOP, then that's probably the price you'll pay unless your local second hand merchant has one.

Hopefully one day they will release a UHD 4K of the first film. Since there already exists a Mastered in 4K edition blu-ray release.

There's this double-pack released in Germany...

It's still in print, region B and English friendly (audio and subtitles)

It's about 10 EUROS (approx. $15 AU) at the moment.

unfortunately, Australians can't buy anything from any other Amazon store apart from the Australian one.

Best bet would be eBay = bought my two pack from Decluttr a few months ago.

Sorry, I didn't realise. That stinks !

Another option is this...

This US double pack contains the 25th Anniversary disc for Home Alone (confirmed region free) and the original 2009 disc for Home Alone 2 (also confirmed region free).

You guys can order it from WOW HD here :-

Thanks wish I knew this earlier before I ordered the first one from Ebay.

the website on here said that double pack was region A so that is why I sorta passed on that when I see that floating around.. great website to know though thanks!

I think the database entry says regions B, C untested - just hasn't been updated yet.

The double-pack has these two discs -

Just an FYI regarding Home Alone 2 - there has only ever been one (region free) disc released in the U.S. (originally released in 2009).
All subsequent re-releases have just recycled the same disc.

Even the 25th Anniversary edition for Home Alone 2 (released last year) turned out just to be a re-package of the old disc and not a 4K remaster like they did for the first Home Alone.
