For those of you who hated the original bulky digipack set, it has been repackaged in a slimmer set with Elite cases. Also, the new set has the updated DC logo. The set still includes the Episode Guide.

Of course, two of the digipack hubs in my set broke, so this repackage is welcome news to those who want to upgrade.

Very tasteful re-packaging!

Great news for those of us who've been dragging our feet on picking up the original, bulkier sets. Will have to wait for that price to drop though, currently almost $30 more expensive than the original re-release

Honestly... I don’t know why they don’t just do it this way from the start.

Who benefits from really thick packaging? This isn’t 2001.

I was always under the assumption that digipack packaging was cheaper than traditional amaray cases hence the first re-release being the former. If this is the case then it's definitely weird that they'd re-re-release the series with more costly packaging.

I actually got rid of my big boxed set after I redeemed the UV code (Delcuttr didn’t give me jack shit for it, but that’s a whole other topic), so this might be ideal. I’m running out of space.

Based on nothing but my own assumptions, I suspect digipacks cost more.. There's full color printing on cardboard plus glue and assembly of those acrylic disc holders. How can that be cheaper than a mass produced case?

The non-limited digipack edition had a much higher MSRP than $90. In fact, I paid $101 for mine and thought I got a great deal at the time.

This edition is will probably be discounted to around $50 by release.

That's a reasonable assumption. I just thought studios would opt for cheaper packaging when it came to their complete series releases though more often than not they tend to use digipack or cardboard packaging.

Holy Double Dipping, Batman! $90 is hard to justify again. Guess they gotta take care of those royalties still! I have the original DVD release, and I really like the digipak. But it’d be nice to have the series on BR.

This re-package is really odd given that retailers still can't get rid of the LAST re-package. The MSRP is lower, but since everyone discounts the previous release by so much and this one isn't being discounted at all, who is going to buy this? I sure want to...

I bought the italian set for like $18 including shipping. It's hard for me to justify a repurchase.

Did they fix the digital transfer errors they previously did? (disappearing objects and so on?).
