This weekend is so slow that, aside from the limited release of Vox Lux, we only have two re-releases in a premium format.

AMC Theaters will have Schindler's List in Dolby Cinema. It looks like first showings are Thursday evening (12/6).

The B&W cinematography should look really good in that format. I don't think I've ever seen a B&W movie in the theater.

I was kind of wanting to see A Star is Born a second time and I won't miss the chance in IMAX.

I mean it's a good weekend overall for limited releases. Vox Lux, Ben Is Back, and Mary Queen of Scots. Just an abysmal weekend for wide releases. But at least these last two weekends have given holdovers a break before things get competitive.

Along with The Favourite hopefully still killing it.

Yeah, I'm going to Uber it to the AMC on Friday and catch the Anniversary release of Shindler's List and FINALLY see A Star Is Born! Luckily Schindler's will be in the Dolby Cinema theater.

That'll be 3+ hours of joy. Yeesh.

I'm glad the releases have slowed down a bit. It'll give myself and others a chance to catch up before it gets busier again later this month. I saw The Front Runner earlier this evening; it was OK. There's still about 7 or 8 other films I'd like to see this month before they disappear.

I'd go but since the movie's over three hours, it's gonna be hard to find one that has a showtime early enough that I won't arrive home at midnight and I can now finally get the chance to see A Star is Born.

Yeah I'm behind as usual. But some things in my life have changed, and I may end up seeing at least a few more films in the theater nowadays.

Nowhere near enough Dolby screens to make that kind of money, even if every single show were sold-out.
