I have the Director's Cut in Vudu in HDX. It ported to iTunes via MA, but it is the theatrical cut only - and I can download and play it - but when I go to the extras to watch the Director's Cut in iTunes, it shows all the extras blocked out, and tells me to unlock them by purchasing the title in HD? Yet on the movie page it says I own it?

For what it's worth, my iTunes library has two entries for Close Encounters. One is the theatrical version with no extras, the other seems to be tied to the Director's Cut and has all 3 cuts playable in the menu.
I'm only seeing the Director's Cut if I search through the iTunes store. I can play it directly from the play button. The film selection via the Extras doesn't allow me to play anything, just as you described. |

Strange, I redeemed my digital code of Close Encounters UHD in movies anywhere and checked all my services to see if I got the highest quality on each site and I did (VUDU is only HDX) and it looks like on FandangoNow you get the Special edition and the director's cut in UHD but the theatrical is HD, this version
https://www.fandangonow.com/details/...i=2&eci=movies So its opposite of Itunes where the theatrical is 4k but the other two are UHD. |
