Default Roland Emmerich worst film?

In the light of the recently released 2012, I think it would be a nice idea to look back at his work.

But I hear you cry, why look at his worst work, why be so negative. Well I got 2 reasons for that
  • Why would I work you up to think of his best film, and then send you of watching his new one, and be dissapointed by it as you thought it wasn't as good as so and so, when you see this list you will say, "well,I hope 2012 is better than that piece of s***.
  • Who do you think I am, CZAR? I'm foggy, and I have a nasty streak flowing though me, I might be CZAR's evil twin on this thread

Enough reasoning, My pic goes to 10,000bc, that film is so boring and so pointless.

There should have been a multiple choice option.

I love Independence Day and I really like Day After Tomorrow.

10,000 BC is the weakest of his movies that I've seen. But I'd still watch it again (not buy).

I know Roger Ebert has taken Godzilla's "Mayor Ebert" in stride ("I now wait for characters in Ingmar Bergman films to utter my name in hushed, awed tones"), even though the late "Mayor's Aide Gene" was a little more thin-skinned about it.

That's not what got me--And it wasn't the "Worm guy" or "Emmerich pokes fun at his SFX guy with the Funny Greek Name" running-gag either, although those were pretty darn close:
It was the "wacky" scene where Harry Shearer doesn't see Godzilla going past the window because he wasn't looking at the right time...
Which had me thinking, "What is this, children's theater?--Are we all in the audience supposed to shout out, 'Look, it's behind you!'??"

Let's just summarize that the intelligence/maturity level on Emmerich's "Godzilla" wasn't quite up to the level of the Japanese originals, and gave you a new appreciation for the integrity of 60's Toho that you may not have had before.

As for what Emmerich thought American Godzilla fans wanted to see, THAT'S some pretty darn "Umm, what? "
(And although Dean Devlin took most of the blame, it took two guilty parties to create it.)

He is not Uwe Boll, his movies are usualy fun to see at least once for me, the sole exception being Stargate that I have seen at least 10 times.

None of his movies are to be taken seriously, they are over top special effect festivals, not much on plot or realism.

If I were to pick one that is for me is ultimate worst movie, that would be for The Patriot. It's nothing more then Braveyank and they even went as far to pick Mel Gibson It's the only movie that is base in real life and it's the one in my book where he failed the worst. Horrible dialogue, bad acting, a vilain that seem to be right out of a Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoon (Fearless Leader anyone) It is IMO his worst movie. The rest is just fun mindless fantasy and brain popcorn. Don't try to much to make sense out of it, you just sit back and enjoy the pretty pictures.

He's only made two good films: Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow.

I just saw 2012 last night and it was CRAP.

IMO Stargate is his only good movie. His version of godzilla should be burned to ashes and then the ashes burned again.
