Anybody that has the Australian release could you please tell if the audio is in DTS-HD Master Audio mono or Dolby Digital 2.0, as I bought it yesterday from JB and it only plays in Dolby Digital.

Silly question based on your collection count, but do you have your Amplifier or Player on the right output setting?

yes I do have them on the right output settings, but my amp & players are reporting it as dolby digital, it does sound quite good for dolby digital tho so maybe my equipment is reporting it wrong.

I've contacted Glass Doll Films and they told me that they got their master from Severin and the details stated DTS-HD master audio but will get back to me after forwarding my enquiry to their authoring house.

Update: just had some time to watch 20-30 mins off it, it's definitely only dolby digital mono

The disc definitely only has a DD 2.0 track.

Someone asked Glass Doll on their Facebook page about this and the response was:

"Looking into it, but I believe it was a last minute decision as the Dan Shor interview pushed it over the BD25 limit."

Eh? surely the price difference between a mass produced BD25 and BD50 isn't that much.. that's a damn shame.. lossy is certainly not the way to go about putting out Blu-Rays.

So I noticed that the Australian release runs 14 mins longer than the Severin release- is this a different cut? Also, is it the same transfer as the Severin version?

yet to open my Oz copy - however it states 99mins on the cover - and the Serverin is the same (note the back image - and not the details which has it at 87)

You're right. Thanks for that. Now I just have to decide which cover to go with.

Hopefully it will be from a new (or at least newly color corrected) master. The old Blu-ray had a really strange yellow color timing and much too steep contrast (similar to the master used for David Hemming's THIRST).
