I don't like the price either but I'm going to buy with my citi card and hope for a price rewind. Plus I can't say no to a cute sea lion lol.

Price will probably drop come release week, curious since 4K Best Buy exclusive steelbooks are selling quite quickly, I wonder how limited this one will be, and if stores only get a few, if the mad scramble will be on for collector's to get, prices shooting up on eBay, etc. I say if you want it, pre-order it just to be safe, you can always cancel or return later.

If I had a 4K TV, I'd buy this in an instant - these Planet Earth things are gorgeous. I'll probably make the 4K upgrade this summer/fall.

Just ordered this. Planet Earth II 4k is reference quality, hope this will be as well. Holding off seeing this until I have the 4k steelbook. This is available by shipping only at this point so order soon.

Damn, until April? I got the 4K UK version which is already out. The footage is interesting enough to oay to get it early and pick up the steelbook.

I get that people are suffering from sticker shock at $54.99 but keep in mind that this is likely 3 discs worth of 4K content. The steelbook is the incentive to pre-order this now instead of waiting for a price drop later but if you think about how you're willing to pay for a single 4K UHD new release at around $20-$30, this is less than that, per disc.

You never know it could turn out to be like Blade Runner 2049's 4K steelbook or even rarer. I could be wrong, probably am, but yes you can always return if its something that is quite common, but better safe than sorry so pre-ordering it was a smart move.

I really don't see them making a whole lot of these and fortunately I'm an elite member now so I have a whole month after it's delivered to decide if I want to return it and wait to get it cheaper or be glad I got one of the few.
