If feels like the 4k format is about to explode onto the scene. I love my Scream releases and plan on keeping them, but its hard not to upgrade Carpenter films. Perhaps Escape from New York is next.

If Scream wants to compete with these foreign releases, they're going to need to start releasing UHDs of their own. If some German label can do it, then surely they can as well.

I'm not sure about shelling out 20-25 bucks for stuff like Air Force One, but I'll usually part with my money for JC. Hopefully Escape from New York is next since both the Scream and the MGM blu ray are both flawed. Christine might be an exception because it looks pretty damn good on blu.

Why are all of these titles being announced in Germany? I realize that UHD discs are region free but is it safe to assume that the US will be announcing these titles soon?

Different rightsholders. They Live and Prince of Darkness are with Universal and The Fog is with MGM in the US.

Unless this has some kind of killer packaging, I'm sticking the 4K disc in my jp set. I will never part with it. I sure hope they have good materials to work with, can't wait!
