This one is horror though, at least thats a completely different take. Trailer looks weak though but who knows.

Make a video game. Don't need to pay Disney. Always wanted another 3D Ecco, to explore the sea, and a half-woman is better than a dolphin.

Doesn't even need to be limited to the sea, like Ecco. In an alternate take on the love story, the redhead turns into a human when exploring the islands and back into a mermaid when returning to the ocean. Since she will be bottomless after touching land, just make her topless underwater too, like in the original tale. No continent. A continent would have ruined The Wind Waker.

Dangers would be aquatic life, storms and fishermen.

Story would be different from the original fairytale, but she would still turn to foam.

Did the rights to The Little Mermaid lapse and this is one of those Pooh Bear or Mickey Steamboat Mouse horror movies but with the Little Mermaid?

I don't think so, but I think very different movies can all share the same exact Title without penalties most times.

Little Rachel just came out with a new statement. Snow White 2025 just can’t get a break.
