Much like the other Madea films, it looks hit or miss. I'll see it opening weekend as I have seen all of Tyler's other films opening weekend, but this does not look promising.

It doesn't help this film has been sitting on the back burner for 3+ years now. I'll probably go see it Tuesday if at all. My interest in Madea films really soured with the 2 Boo!'s.

I don't think it was screened for critics, there's only 7 reviews on rottentomatoes.

And if there is such a thing as a critic-proof movie franchise, this would be a shining example.

I have never seen one of these films. I’ve heard some people say they are funny. I’m guessing I’m right by not having wasted any time on them. Or is there actually a decent one in the bunch?

Madea Goes to Jail and Madea’s Big Happy Family are the only genuinely good ones but they’re still subpar films. If you go in knowing exactly what to expect, you might enjoy them and get a few good laughs.
