Default Serious movie scenes that inspire inappropriate laughter

I'll get the ball rolling... Beware potential spoilers.
  • The scene in Jaws when the corpse appears while Hooper is removing a shark tooth from underneath the small boat. Richard Dreyfuss's facial reaction cracked me up when I first saw the movie during childhood, and it still cracks me up.
  • A serious moment in Alfred Hitchcock's Spellbound where a character is remembering a horrible traumatic incident from his childhood.
[Show spoiler] As a boy, the character slid down a stairway rail, kicked his brother at the bottom of the rail, and saw his brother impaled on a spike fence underneath bottom of the rail.
I am probably a bad person, but I cannot help laughing during this scene.
  • Jack Black's delivery of the "It was beauty killed the beast." quote at the end of Peter Jackson's King Kong.
  • Every single death scene in the Final Destination movies.
Now, I usually suppress laughter during such moments in a theater, because I never want to be That Guy who laughs in the theater during an intentionally serious scene, but this takes effort at times.

Cheesy dialogue in "romantic" scenes always gets me. Like in Episode II -
Speaking of Tatooine, something like: "I hate the sand. It gets everywhere, it's rough... not like here... everything is smooth" (caresses Padme's skin)

see also: Any line in any of the Twilight movies.

Excellent!

Also...

The death of Anakin's mother in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. The way that she says her last words, and then abruptly goes limp. That scene was so bad that it's good.

I always laugh during the destruction of the Football Stadium in Dark Knight Rises.

We Need to Talk About Kevin. My wife & I literally laughed out loud a couple of times. I would have caught a case if my son did any of those things he did.

The car crash scene in Meet Joe Black. I'm probably going to get hit by a car one of these days, and it's not going to be funny, but I cannot help laughing during this scene.

The guy bouncing off the propeller when he falls from the ship in James Cameron's Titanic.

Yes the Meet Joe Black scene is definitely one! They had to know how funny that was when they made it, right?!??

for me, many scenes in Return of the King with Sam and Frodo - Mordor, bouncing on the bed at the end, plenty more... Serious scenes that came across hilarious due to oozing homosexuality.

That stinky guy that travels with Kevin Costner to the fort in Dances With Wolves getting killed by arrows makes me laugh every time for some reason.

The creepy-sex-looks didn't help either.

For some reason, I always laugh when Agent Coulson dies in the Avengers.
