Default Annabelle Comes Home (2019)

Source: THR

Quote:
Gary Dauberman, the writer behind the Annabelle movies, will make his directorial debut with an untitled Annabelle project, the newest installment of New Line’s horror franchise based on The Conjuring cinematic universe.

The project, which Dauberman is also writing, will once again be produced by James Wan’s Atomic Monster and the Peter Safran Company, the banners that produce what has become a billion-dollar horror franchise and among the most profitable movies ever made.

Details are kept secret but the story will once again focus on the porcelain doll that is possessed by a demonic force.

The new Annabelle installment is on the fast track for New Line, which has set the film’s release for July 3, 2019.

Well, I thought the second one was an improvement over the first, so I have no reason not to want one more.

I've enjoyed both, but hopefully this will be the last one. Make it a nice trilogy and then move onto different projects in the universe. The Conjuring 3 for 2020 and The Crooked Man for 2021 is my guess.

Loved the second film but never thought I'd see Annabelle have a trilogy of movies.

Essentially use their story they tell to Ed as the basis for the film, ending with him taking it.
I, to am curious to see where they can take this. The second film was such a huge improvement, I feel if they can keep up this momentum, the third could be even better.

A nine-hour closeup of cowshit steaming in a summer's field would be an improvement over the first film.

When the screenwriter of a horror series get a crack at the director's chair, it's inevitably a disappointment (witness the third Insidious).

I think it's the second best of the four.

The worst is the 4th
Ranking is in the order they were made. The 3rd one is great though the 4th is crap. Both Annabelle Movies are great the 2nd is a masterpiece. The tent scene is one of the creepiest scenes in a horror movie

Really? How is the spinoff out doing the base film in sequels? Gah.... the 2nd was better than the 1st but imo not by much.

The second film was a huge improvement over the first, which I never thought was as bad as everyone makes it out to be, so I'm excited. However, I'mma need Conjuring 3 soon. We'll have 3 Annabelle's before a third Conjuring which I find odd... but maybe it's a blessing in disguise. I NEED James to come back and direct 3, so if he needs time for this Aquaman movie to be finished so he can focus and come back to horror then so be it.

I will say the first Annabelle isn't bad (IMO) but it is the worst movie of the Conjuring universe. I also have to say I'm surprised this is happening before The Crooked Man movie, I thought that one was beginning production soon

I have always enjoyed the first Annabelle movie and I really like the second one too. Hell it was one of the reasons for me to get an Apple TV 4K since both movies have not (yet) been released on UHD.

I didn't see the first two movies in the theater but I think I will make up for that when the third one arrives.

That's actually my favorite in the series I liked the second Annabelle so I'm curious where they will take this one.
