Does it contain the extended (123 min) and theatrical cut (117 min) like the US edition ?

I believe the german release only has the theatrical cut sadly so i hope this is not the case here either

Should do. Theatrical cut got a 12 rating, the extended cut got a 15...

Thats nice to know. I also just checked BBFC and it looks like they reviewed both cuts for the Blu Ray release (home release) So its a good bet both cuts are on.

Damn it, I was looking at this in Sainsbury's less than 20 minutes ago! Only a brief glance though and can't remember any mention of theatrical vs extended, sorry.

Will pick this up at some point though, love Costner's movies, seems to have been on a bit of a renaissance of late.

so what are you saying BBFC reviewed the extended cut but did not put it on the Blu Ray. That is just terrible if this is true

I liked the look of the trailer, but the feedback from viewers hasn't been exactly stellar...

I will wait for a price drop before blind-buying.

It is a terrible flick. Do yourself a favour and watch it first, it is on US Netflix.

I like Kev but he has been in a few clunkers lately.

No mate, not saying that. It was more of an indictment of my attention to detail as I had the box in my hand less than 20 minutes before commenting and failed to notice whether it mentioned anything about it being the extended cut or not.

I'd imagine that the 15-rating probably means that it IS the EC but someone else would have to confirm because despite looking at the box, I obviously didn't look that closely!

if its 15 rating on the box then it must be the extended cut. Because on BBFC the theatrical version is rated 12 and the extended 15. Would be nice to get confirmation that both cuts are indeed on it

And to those that say its terrible. I do not think so i already seen it and i think its a great action comedy.

Both cuts are indeed on it. You just have to squint to find the info on the rear, as they've not really advertised it.

I genuinely loved this movie, i don't what it is about it, i just really connected with it. I loved Costner's performance and character, i loved the laid back pacing and the fact that the action took a backseat to his fatherly responsibilities. I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea but i thought it was ultimately a very sweet movie with some great humour and cool action.

I'd be interested in seeing the extended cut.

It'd be the distributors who are behind what goes on the disc, not the BBFC.

I picked the UK disc up on the cheap, after being horrified by the compression on the Australian disc, (which was also cheap).

Went from one evil to an another.

Not sure if I want to bother sourcing a copy from elsewhere, lord knows what'd be wrong with that.
