Is there a Blu-ray release planned for this underrated film by Mathieu Kassovitz?
Screened in official competition at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival, the film caused a major scandal there due to its realistic violence and obvious medias criticism. A commercial failure upon its french theatrical release, it remains, in my opinion, Kassovitz's best film. A very dark, slow, strange and hypnotic "thriller"/noir film driven by good performances (Michel Serrault, Mathieu Kassovitz and Mehdi Benoufa), Kassovitz's stylish direction, and Carter Burwell's haunting score. A 2K/4K Blu-ray release would be very welcome, with extras (I seem to remember that Kassovitz reportedly wanted a different, alternative cut of his film... with additional deleted scenes?)
