I was in Scotland the last couple of weeks in May this year (it was my first time) and I was struck by its Emerald Sceptered Beauty. I hear areas get 150 Inches of Rain a year. Living in California, I'd never seen waterfalls that looked just like they were Illustrated by Roger Dean.

One of the Bed and Breakfast places we stayed at had a nice Signed-by-Peter Riegert Photograph from Local Hero on the Wall. It turned out the owner was a Huge Fan and his nice little B&B abode was across the "Pond" from where they Filmed the Beach Scenes.

This is one of my very Favorite movies - and it has nothing to do with Doctor Who being a secondary character. I love it's quirky Innocence and Morality.

I assume it didn't do well enough to ever warrant a Blu-Ray Release... but one can dream.

I found a nice 720p Boot of this recently... and it looks much better than my DVD, so it would seem someone rescanned or remastered or whatever, this, likely for Streaming... but maybe it'll be released on BR.

Someone on another Thread found Movies like this for D/L / Streaming on iTunes... so I assume someone either remastered these for HD Streaming or maybe for future releases...

I guess if you know what you're doing (not me), you can D/L these from iTunes and save them.

Since Criterion has a deal with Warner, this would be a good candidate.

I didn't really realize that. But I guess Warner does have the rights to Barry Lyndon, which Criterion announced yesterday? This movie is so peculiar and special. I'd love a CC edition!

My Wife and I were in Scotland a Year ago and we stayed at this nice little Bed and Breakfast in this beautiful little Town, Armandale, on the Island of Sky. When the Owner was showing us to our room, we walked past a Signed Publicity Photo for the Movie. I told him this was one of my Very favorite Movies and he got all giddy and took me out on the Front "Lawn" and pointed across the Ocean the Mainland to show me where the Outside Beach Scenes were Filmed on Camusdarach.

And we sure got Great Service after that!

This is due a UK release on Blu Ray in 'early 2019' by I believe Film Four. Likely to be locked to Region B though.

There are now 1080p boots around that look pretty decent. I wonder if they're from the same source?
