Default Lolita (1997 Movie Version) Blu-ray?

This is one of my favorite movies, and it would be great if it got released on blu-ray! I don't understand why the movie version from the '60s got a blu-ray release, but not this one. I thought the old movie sucked anyway; it did absolutely no justice for the novel. Whereas, the 1997 movie version was a fantastic adaptation of the book. It sucks, though, because Lolita is hard enough just to find on DVD. I guess maybe it's still too controversial. But, I would really like to see it get a blu-ray release.

yeah, the 60s one seemed like more of a vehicle for Peter Sellers

The first 20 minutes are very good, especially with the Ennio Morricone score, but then it becomes drab. There is such a thing as being "too faithful to a book."

I like both versions and have both versions on blu ray. The 97 version is gorgeous, the better film for sure.
So you can get this version that I got, its region free

I loved this film, but its one I couldn't bear to watch again. There's only a handful of movies that are too depressing/disturbing, and this is one of them.

The Kubrick version is a joke, and not a funny joke.
