Default I Need Some Advice...

Hello Everyone,
I posted a message expressing my opinion over at hidefdigest.com, and was met with a warning from a moderator by the name of blurry. I don't believe that I disrespected anyone and I offered my sincerest apologies, however, I would like to know if the following message was disrespectful or hurtful:

I cannot fathom the utter immaturity of all of you, be it Red or Blu. We all made a decision to support one format or the other or both, yet the minute that we don't get what we want, it's FU this or boycott that. None of these film studios forced anyone of us into investing in HiDef. I am an avid collector of films, be it on beta, VHS, LD, DVD and now Hidef. I made that decision, not the film studios, and sometimes things are not going to go the way that we want them to.

Every film studio is out to make money, in fact, if any of us were employed by said studios, we would all be in it to make money, as well as for the love of film. I just don't think that it's in any way productive for any of us to continue to argue and bicker over Warner's decision... You're all taking this way too seriously, it's as if their decisions were done to hurt you. I reiterate... NO ONE WAS FORCED TO INVEST IN THIS NEW FORMAT... If you don't like the way that the film studios conduct their business, then please do yourselves a favor, and STOP WASTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THE FORMAT OF YOUR CHOICE!!!

How long have you been posting there? High Def Digest and AVS are not known for their open mindedness. You'd be suprised how fast a post can be remove and/or a ban instated for something completely harmless.

I don't think you should be so sensitive. Who cares if some dumb moderator on a forum gave you a warning. You got out what you wanted to say and you are still alive. Who cares what they think.

On a side note, don't worry about your post. I've posted much worse things over there and on other forums.

Thank you for the responses. I thought that one was entitled to their own opinion, yet apparently on that site you're not... Go figure...

Dyana, don’t worry about it.
I think you will find out over the course of time that some forum people were never really interested in motion pictures to begin with.

Their motivations are things like………
1. To hate everything that involves or is associated with Sony Electronics.
2. To love everything that involves or is associated with Microsoft.
3. Loving to argue about the newest technological gadget/format etc. and when the high-def optical media struggle becomes moot, they will continue that behavior with the next technological gizmo/format whether it involves film or not.

Maybe the mod thought that by saying, "all of you," you were included the mods.

you spoke your mind and you have the right to do so. i don't see an insult. i see an advice and they didn't take it well. here is the thing about the guys over hidefdigest and avs they are closed minded, not all but the majority of the members over there only pay attention to what they are already made up their mind on. in other words they are always right no matter what and you are wrong. i suggest you stay away from them.

Your opinion was correct and there was nothing wrong with that. I had noticed that moderator is unfair towards Blu-ray; she always tries to defend HD DVD.

So-called neutral forums or web sites are rarely that especially in this bitter format war. They may have been started with good intentions but as everyone (including moderators) have opinions on matters, friction between posters is inevitable. And if the moderators or web-site administrators have an agenda, then lookout!

My time is more valuable then to spend it arguing with people who have come to different conclusions then myself. I scan through my regular haunts and only if I feel really "adventurous" and I have some time to kill do I dive into the (IMO) "dens of idiocy" on the net. I've made my decision on what high-def format I will be enjoying - now I want to get the most out of my home theater experience.

Blu-ray.com's website and forum are definately valuable resource for information on the HD format I've chosen. It can't be said enough but a big "thank you" to the moderators, administrators, insiders, hosts, and my other members for making this a great destination on the internet.

I think you should be able to speak your mind, but you do sort of come out swinging on your comments and with how touchy they are over there, I could see them coming down on you.

AVS is fine for info on home theater equipment. Just stay away from the software section.

My best advice. Forget the incident and move on. Things happen. Sometime we write up without meaning something and something people react to posts without really getting the true context of the post.

It is not worth to scratch your head over it.

Blurry is a total waste of a moderator. highdefdigest.com is just another MS skank.
On highdefdigest.com I posted "SOMETIMES silence SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS," in reference to Universal's lack of responses at CES and the canceling of the hd dvd press conference. It was removed in about 1 to 2 minutes from the time I posted it. I assumed that a computer glitch made it disappear as it wasn't offensive, vulgar, or confrontational. I posted it again and this time it was erased almost immediately.
About this time I received a private message from Blurry telling me that I had received infractions for being a troll.
If you read Blurry's recent posts you will easily notice that he is a cry baby zealot, and not a true fan of movies as he'd rather see hd die then transition to blu-ray.
