One of my favorite movies when I was twelve... it doesn't hold up today, but a great addition nonetheless.

Need your help to find a movie. It's either an 80s, or very early 90s movie. The way I remember is that it's Sci-Fi and set at a shopping mall. A bunch of teenagers get stranded there and are being killed by some maniac. One scene in particular happens on an escalator. This girl, dressed like a punk, gets shot with automatic fire. Still alive, she makes it all the way to the top of the escalator, only to die and tumble back down. LOL.

I know for sure that this movie is not Chopping Mall. I'm also pretty sure that it's not Dangerous Game (1987, Stephen Hopkins). Is there a scene like this in Night of the Comet?

Any help would be appreciated.

The Initiation? I don't remember if anyone get shot with an automatic weapon but people die all kinds of ways, including bow & arrow. The second half of the film is set in a chop...er, I mean, shopping mall.

EDIT: Uh, never mind. You're looking for a sci-fi flick, The Initiation is straight horror.

Love this movie!!!! Day 1.... I hope they talk to the cast, who've always been so supportive of the film and on record saying they'd happily be a part of extras.... Come on Scream/Shout....go talk to them, make it happen!

I have the Night of the Comet soundtrack CD. It's full of cheesy 80's love songs but I love it! This is just a fun flick.

Will probably be picking this one up. This movie is one of the first VHS rentals that I remember my parent's renting when I was about 7 years old. They also rented Poltergeist along with it. Made a great double feature 80's night!

This used to air once in a while on TV.
My Mom would be at work and my Dad and I would start to watch it.
Then Mom came home and it was already past my bed time so I never got more than maybe 30 minutes in.
This happened a few times...
Then, years later, I bought the DVD.
I loved it, up until
[Show spoiler]The Mutant Scientists appeared in the Mall and took the Girls...

Whatever though, it ended decently enough.
I just wonder what I'd think of the film if I was able to have actually finished it back when I was a kid...

Couldn't agree more, I doubt I'll even bother with this. Hell, I never bothered to upgrade my fs VHS rip on dvdr for the real ws dvd, so I doubt I'll be jumping on a blu. Great news for others, I know this film is loved by many, so rock on with your bad-selves!

Now Night of the Creeps not only holds up well, it gets better with age like a fine wine! So happy to have that in HD.
