Great, not available to order yet on Amazon though. Can't wait to see what the remaster looks like.

I wish they would have used the theatrical poster for the front.

Seriously, it looks terrible. Why is Robocop three stories tall? Where's the original logo? Sparkles! Lensflare! When does this happen in the movie? Is that even Detroit in the background?

Umm, and the title is the wrong way up on the spine. Good job!

Looks pretty good! I wonder if Predator 3D will get a steelbook?

Not even the end of January and 2014 will have a strong contender for worst steelbook of the year. The dodgy font is bad enough but there hasn't been even the slightest attempt to compensate for perspective on the cut and paste images.

The spine is inverted because they're likely using the same mock-up as the French/Czech release. Won't be like that on final.

Agree with you on the rest, though.

Why, oh why are they using that terrible font for the logo? The original is classic and iconic, and would have suited the cover a million times better than this rubbish.

This feels like to me they are trying to ease people into the reboot.

They haven't used the original in a long time. This movie has more font changes than any other from what I've seen. I wonder if it's some sort of rights thing? Like someone trademarked the original font design, etc..

Um, that's obviously a montage.

At no point in Robocop were giant metalic letters spelling out "Robocop" floating above Detroit either; we're not complaining about aspects of the art that are obviously intended to be composited. But the rest of the scene is depicted in a pseudo-realistic fashion, so... no. The perspective is just wrong.

It's like when they took this:

... and lazily turned it into this:

As long as the PQ is an improvement I don't really mind.
