These days I just assume every movie ever made is in some stage of being remade or rebooted. Hollywood will beat a dead horse even after it's bones have turned to dust.

This is going to be as awesome as Halloween (2018), which means it is going to suck.

New Line wouldn't let that happen, between IT and the Conjuring movies their horror lineup is pretty much as strong.

Have Blumhouse as a co-producer.

Blumhouse has a first-look deal with Universal so the chances of that are unlikely but I wouldn't rule it out. Miramax still co-produced the new Halloween.

I wish they get weird and really play up the dream logic in this new movie.

Isn't Blumhouse producing that Fantasy Island movie for Sony?

Didn't they already say a few years ago that we were gonna get another remake? I'll believe it when I see it. Besides, I actually liked the 2010 remake and wish we'd got that sequel...

They need to bring in Robert Englund and Wes Craven to over see it. Even if Robert is done with the role he and Craven can still be behind the scenes and over see things and give who ever will play Freddy advice and pointers. This type of movie requires someone who is creative and no one in Hollywood is creative enough to get Freddy right. The dream scenes need to be creative and the killings to. That’s what the first reboot lacked. Jackie Earle Haley was perfect for the role but the writing sucks and fact that Michael Bay was involved that killed it from the start.

Robert Englund, or GTFO.
Not interested in anyone else.

Same here.

As to something new, whatever. If it's good then I'll be excited. If not, not. If they get some people involved who have interesting ideas, cast it well, and then execute it then it could be good. Who knows? We have to wait and see.

And as dailywhitty said, we don't even know if it will happen in the first place.

let a dead franchise rest in peace. They should take inspiration from games lik dead by daylight or outlast and create a movie revolving those monsters.

Please bring on David Robert Mitchell. It Follows had a great Elm Street vibe.
