Default I Spy (Mill Creek)

Does anyone know if this is the same BD-25 release from a cpl years ago? Or a new transfer?

It's also a BD-25. I can't speak to if the transfer/quality is the same but probably likely.

I think he might mean is it a MOD BD-R, I have the old Sony release of I Spy and Mill Creek presses their discs so it's not going to be a MOD BD-R. It will likely have the same transfer as the Sony version though.

pros of mill creek disc most likely = cheap retail price, pressed disc that wont fail in 5 years.
probable cons = likely poorer encode or transfer than sony disc, good chance of lossy audio akin to last action hero.

That is actually a good thing assuming there is no DNR applied like they did with Neighbors (1981).

Indicates Region A on the back, however it appears to play regardless when setting my player to Region A, B or C.

Problem for me is that it's not a DVD that I can happily retire. I just picked this up and I see that the DVD has bonus material that was not ported over the Blu-ray which means I won't retire the DVD.

Looks like I'm switching out the case and making my own "Blu-ray + DVD Combo Pack"! Pain in the ass but I need the space.

I might need to retain the DVD for the extras, but I certainly won't ever have to watch the movie on DVD again Also for collection continuity it's much neater to have a Blu-ray

It arrived today and I made myself a combo pack.

In most places you would likely get under $1 for the DVD used so yeah just keep it and make it a BD/DVD combo. I just recycle the DVD case and the artwork.

I have the Sony MOD BD-R and this is tempting but I like the artwork better on the Sony release it matches the DVD cover.

I might make it a 3-disc case with the Sony MOD BD-R, Mill Creek BD and DVD using the Sony MOD BD artwork and Mill Creek artwork reverse and a 3-disc BD case.

If this had a digital code included I would have already purchased.

Glad I still have the DVD for this and I can have fun and keep it for the extras.

Now should I bite on the Mill Creek disc and make that 3-disc I-Spy edition a reality. Hmmm.

Wow this is such a bad movie but still very entertaining. The sexual feeling scene is just uncomfortable due to how unfunny it is. I did enjoy the big chase about halfway through, although that balloon seemed to come from nowhere lol.
