United Kingdom Tokyo Godfathers

Supposedly the Japanese and Australian BDs are made from an old underscanned (bordered on all four sides) master, but the Manga UK BD fixes this problem? I'm guessing it's made from the same master and just zoomed in to correct this?

Are there any image comparisons online?

Hi, David.
The Manga BD is not window-boxed. Picture is only fine (oold master), but compression is quite good. See DVDCompare and this review with images.

ps. keep up the good work!

Comparison - Australian BD vs UK BD *the person who made those screenshots used VLC unfortunately, so colors are off*

I hope Dynit will pick it up someday and release it with English subtitles, just like they did with Cowboy Bebop The Movie.

Thanks! Looks like a pretty decent older telecine. I’ll pick up the UK version.
I wish I got to encode more animation!

Does the UK BD use the 4K master or is this an even newer one?

The UK BD is from an ancient master.
