Blu-ray Knight

Is there something in a movie you've watched that you swear it was intended to be this way but on-screen wasn't?
This is one I'll take to my grave. Detective Gerard Stephens, Gordon's right-hand man in The Dark Knight, was supposed to be Harvey Bullock, but Nolan didn't wanna have two supporting characters in the movie named Harvey. So Stephens to me has always been the spiritual live-action movie version of Detective Bullock. Because he acts just like him from the cartoon. Hates Batman, "one of the boys", can't understand why Gordon always protects Batman. And has that mean roughhouse attitude as well. At the end when Gordon is destroying the Bat signal in the rain, Stephens is shown with a huge smile and grin on his face. Det. Stephens ![]() Det. Bullock from the Cartoon ![]() And here is the funny part is, in La Noire the actor was facial scanned and played a character in the game that looks just like Bullock. ![]() |
