Really fun movie—an incredibly gross death early in the film turned me off watching the rest of the movie for years, but I watched it online somewhere recently and enjoyed it thoroughly. Would buy this disc. Hopefully they port over extras from the Region B release and/or add new ones. Relieved to see the cover art is original promotional art and not your typical Scream Factory abomination.

I wonder if this will have some great extras where everyone talks about how much of an a$$hole Richard Widmark was to everyone.

She was but I think Hammer and the BBFC were led to believe she was older at the time. Surprised the BBFC never ordered the removal of those shots years later.

The UK law actually doesn't consider nudity itself 'indecent' under the act, with sexualized nudity or putting anyone under age (which was raised from 16 to 18 in 2003) in sexual situations the criteria, which is why films like Walkabout, 1991's The Man in the Moon and Disney's Pollyana don't fall foul of the Act with their skinnydipping scenes. TTDAD is borderline in that respect, though curiously in interviews Kinski has said it is not her in that shot. Which strains credulity more than a little...

I'll be getting this, but I wish Hammer had gotten someone like Peter Cushing or Andrew Kier for the protagonist; Widmark is too grumpy.

My copy shipped from Target today, forgot I pre-ordered it actually. Looking forward to finally seeing this as I never got around to grabbing the DVD.
