Blu-ray.com states that this title will be released on October 1, 2019. I bought this at Walmart today. Is this normal for movies to be in stores three weeks prior to street date?

No it's not normal for them to put them on the shelves that early, but it's possible someone put it out early at your local WM. It is common for the stores to have stock on hand that far in advance though. The WM web site doesn't seem to have a listing for this title online.

No announcement and I've never seen any on the website either. I would buy a new Echo Bridge Blu-ray at Walmart, come home and find it listed nowhere online, only for it to start showing up on Amazon and some other stores weeks later. It's just some exclusivity thing they've got going on.
