Alien Vs. Predator New Entry (Untitled; 2028?)

Will we eventually see another Alien vs. Predator? Probably.

Not sure how I feel about that. It wouldn’t be in the way you think. That’s the thing. Not in the way that it will just be called Alien vs. Predator or anything like the original movies. If we do this, they’ll be organically created out of these two franchises that we’ve continued with characters that we fall in love with and those characters will combine…perhaps. But we haven’t gotten to that point. And we’re not just going to bang it out.

New Alien versus Predator entry? I'll take it.

Zero interest. What makes any Alien or Predator movie work are the human characters. AVP movies will always side-line the human characters because they mistakenly believe that the fight scenes between the two are enough. Fine if you are twelve maybe.

Pre-Prey & Romulus I would have agreed with you, but now, especially after it's clear that the entire Scott trilogy is on the back burner at best, I actually believe it will be the logical path for these two franchises to follow and ultimately intersect.

I don't know if it's going to happen, mind you, but it's happening, because the opportunity to make a single, combined franchise film earning $500M+ will always represent a lucrative investment opportunity by studios, as opposed to a bunch of films with a projected ceiling less than $500M.

Where did you get the 2028 date from?

The idea that there is a secret Predator movie that has been made that is going to come out before Badlands is interesting. I wonder what it will be about.

Also, I can't believe its been 20 years since the first AVP.
