Fox are releasing again? Chances increasing slightly of getting King Of Comedy on UHD when Joker is released.

Me either. Don't count your chickens before they hatch. It's possible there will be a 4K release, but don't bet on it. The Art of Racing in the Rain was canceled and more than likely Ad Astra will be next. Fox is gasping its last breath. This movie needs to do super well in order to save Fox and save this 4K release. Otherwise, there is no reason for Disney to keep Fox around. Especially, when their movies are hemorrhaging at the box office. Though Disney has to take some blame for that. I think Disney is deliberately doing some of this. I don't think Fox was ever meant to be around once they got bought.

I hope this will really happen, James Mangold (director of Logan and 3:10 to Yuma remake) is a very good director so far therefore I'm looking forward to this movie.

But Fox putting out a UHD of a new release movie starring two big-name actors isn't all that connected to The King of Comedy. A movie that's (outside of enthusiasts like us) generally remembered more as a footnote in the careers of its stars and director.

They haven’t stopped releasing new titles on UHD though? It’s just catalog stuff that’s seemed to dry up.

Yes, they have. The Art of Racing in the Rain did not get a 4K release. I think we're going to start to see that as more the norm than a trend. Especially when these movies bomb. Be lucky we got the 4Ks we did this year.

The cancellation of one underperforming title doesn’t mean they stopped releasing UHD discs.
