Favorite Meryl Streep film - Blu-ray Forum

With the Oscars coming around in under a month, and my favorite actress of all time receiving yet another nomination for best actress (which puts it at 15 for her), I was wondering what are your favorite films with her? (whether it be as a lead or supporting actress)

It is a tough call for me, but I would have to say her performance in Silkwood is my favorite, with Sophie's Choice coming in at a close second

I LOVE her...but since the Devil Wears Prada is one of my favorite movies ever, I have to give it to that.

The French Lieutenant's Wife was great and so was Doubt...Adaptation was VERY good and she was wonderful in the Hours...Mamma Mia! was ehh...Manhatten is on my XBox 360 Netflix Queue so I yet have to check it out =)...BIG Meryl Streep fan lol.

I didn't love, The Devil Wears Prada (awesome book, though), but I was impressed with her role in it- she was simply perfect.

Hard to argue with Defending Your Life -- but I'll see your Albert Brooks and raise you Clint Eastwood and Bridges of Madison County...how Clint and Meryl took that trash novel and elevated it into something true and real is a minor miracle.

Out of all of Meryl Streep's films, I liked The Hours the most. Death Becomes Her and Defending Your Life are a close second and third, respectively.

She's made so many good movies. I pick The French Lieutenant's Woman. I hope it will get a Blu release someday.

Well, my favorite is Defending Your Life. Not the best, or her best performance but the movie I enjoyed most out of her filmography.

I pretty much love Meryl in everything she does, even more bit parts, like her role in Lemony Snickett.

I went with A Cry In The Dark. I just think as an actress, she was just superb playing that real life character, Lindy. Dingo got my baby.

Also not listed in the poll, River Wild...she played a sexy, bad-ass mother going down that river.

Truly one of my favorite actresses.

She's also hilarious in Postcards From The Edge.
