I was thinking of grabbing the blu-ray release of this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0039LAQ2O/ref=ox_sc_act_image_3?ie=UTF8&m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE). Is it worth a watch?
Also, the page on blu-ray.com lists this as 1080i50. Is this correct? I would imagine that as a US mini-series it would be either 24p or 60p. |

Jim Caviezel is blander than beige but Ian McKellen has a good time and the whole thing's reasonably entertaining if you try to forget the original ever existed. Unfortunately I don't know whether its 1080i or p but the transfer is very uneven, some episodes run at less than 10mbps and others run at well over 20, these look noticably better. For £9 I'd say its worth a look

How could they have missed that tagline!!!
I saw an ad for this on SyFy last night. I think it's starting next week. Might wait and watch it there if the verdict is a bit iffy. EDIT: It's on SyFy from Nov 16th at 10pm. Last edited by Mizu_Ger; 11-11-2011 at 12:27 PM. |

Yes, it's region B locked -- gosh darn it! A late answer but I've been hoping for a region A release. Why do they lock when their sales would expand if region free? I understand there are contract restrictions and all that but it's so limiting to sales. I'm borrowing a DVD from a local library to see it.
