Default Its Over!!!!

I just heard on my lo.cal news this morning. That Universial is going to start making Blu-ray movies, and Paramount is trying to use its escape clause in its contract. The guy on there said "for people who don't understand, think of Blu-ray being VHS and HD-DVD being BETA. One is going to win." Looks like this isn't going to last much longer

Sounds like just another regurgitating of the same news, but them raising awareness that people should buy into Blu-ray not HD DVD is of course very welcome.

I'd like to think so but it sounds suspiciously like the FT/Variety articles regurgitated yet again.

You need to reread what I wrote. I used the search function. The only thing I seen the last couple days relating to what I said especially Universial is people trying to get them to go Blu not them going to Blu. If you can find me something actually related to my topic then ok.

The more the media get that message out there the more unlikely it would be for someone to invest in HD-DVD. Its all good.

There's already a thread about how his (unknown) local affiliate compared Blu to VHS and HD-DVD to Beta in a news story?

I can't find a link to that thread either. I must be an ignorant dude as well. Can you point me to that link?

Thanks.

The average consumer doesn't follow boards or even CES coverage. But, they will see the local news. And even if its still rumored news. People watching will still hold off buying hd-dvd because they think its true.

If Universal and Paramount wanna make money, then blu-ray is the way. I don't know what they're waiting for

Because THAT was the focus point of the (already discussed to death) thread

The same sources, retreaded in a thousand ways, I want to see an official press release from Paramount of Uni, hopefully in the near future.

I agree and have been saying this myself. Until something official comes out, it is all just "talk".

I hope the mods delete any of these types of threads coming out on either of these studios until we get the official word from either one.
