Some questions regarding bluetooth headsets and the PS3..

1.) When you are playing online, if you have a blue tooth headset hooked up and are talking to other players, can other people in the room still hear the comments made by the other players over the speakers or will the only person who can hear the other players be the one wearing the headset?

2.) Will the PS3 detect more than one blue tooth headset at a time? For example, let's say you're playing online and you have a friend who's in the same room with you that is not playing but he wants to hear what everyone is saying to each other. Can he wear a blue tooth headset and hear what everyone is saying to each other, even though he isn't playing?

Any help on these 2 questions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

1) depends on the game. If the game is setup to output mic talk over the speakers, than it does not matter if you are using bluetooth or usb headset it will output over the speakers. Games like this are COD4 and Poker.

--EDIT actually now that I think of it, you can specify mic output over your speakers if you wish, meaning you could talk on your bluetooth headset and have all the mic output come out your speakers.

2) No. You can only select one output device for headset at a time. This includes USB, or bluetooth headsets, so even if you had one bluetooth and one usb, you would still have to select which device the PS3 outputs the audio too.

If you want to be able to talk and have your entire room be able to listen and talk, you could use the USB PS3 Eye Toy, since it has an open mic on it it will output the mic talk over your speakers where everyone can hear, and anyone and everyone will be able to talk through the mic on the camera.
