USA Modus Operandi - Feb. 14

Hopefully I can stir up some interest in this fine flick.

Modus Operandi is an indie exploitation flick from Milwaukee, shot on 8mm, starring the known Danny Trejo and Mark Borchardt (a.k.a., "the dude from American Movie"), and the main character played by some dude I never heard of before named Randy Russell.

If you're into the whole "exploitation revival" like with Grindhouse and Machete, I recommend this—although this film is more authentically late '60s/early '70s in look and content, and is more a true modern exploitation flick like Jim VanBebber's The Manson Family.

Here are some trailers:

After seeing the trailers, I bought this film almost a year ago when it was being sold by the director as a poorly-encoded DVD-R. I'm happy to see it picked up for distribution and hopefully with a real good transfer (one that doesn't show the 8mm grain as gigantic pixels in some scenes), and since it's being released by Kino, I'm sure it'll be a top-notch job.

It's available for pre-order at both Amazon and DeepDiscount, likely other places, too. $26.99 on the former, $21.61 on the latter. I highly recommend it.
