My strongest memory of this movie is the conversation I had with my nephew as we left the theater. At the time they'd already announced a sequel, and when I told him this he asked "why would they do that to customers?"

I actually prefer the first movie and hope we see a 4k steel for that at some point. I have the 4k 2 disc slips, but have been wanting to upgrade to steels for both so I'll probably pick this up.

I can't imagine who asked them for this Steelbook, seems completely random. This is much better than the first film, but eh the UHD isn't the greatest with the pumped contrast I never want to watch it.

yeah, weird how they decide what title is steelbook, anniversary release worthy. This wasn't a bad movie but pretty damn forgettable

and ssjgoku, I would like a Pick of Destiny UHD steel too, perhaps for the 20th anniversary (crazy!) in a few years

Getting one for me and one for my son. The previous Retaliation steel is in my top 5 steels ever and this one looks great. I hope it has a shiny effect on the red parts. We loved this movie.

Among all avaliable steels for this movie - german one wins it all the way, especially with embossment.

It looks like the extended version will be offered on the 10 anniversary steelbook edition. Does anyone know or can confirm if they will offer this version as part of the digital copy or just the original cut? Would I be better trying to get the extended cut Edition with digital copy by itself?

I already have the 4k/blu Ray copy of this movie with the digital copy of the theatrical version but want to add the extended version to both my collection and digital. Thanks.

I personally love the first film (of course there's things I hate) but I like it. And it looks way sweeter in 4k than Retaliation does. Just pops more visually

I can confirm that the blu ray disc has the extended cut on it, and is identical to the previously released extended cut blu ray disc. The 4K is the theatrical cut only.

I still can't get over the fact there's now TWO steels of this, but not a proper steel for the first one, unless you broke down and bought yourself a DVD steel.
