Different strokes for different folks, but I really dig "Dracula Sucks". It has decent acting, nice atmosphere, fine costumes, solid cinematography, and effective moments of violence and eroticism. My 2 cents.

I had a DVD of this but found it drab and, dare I say, lifeless. But the Mondo review and caps has me thinking maybe. It's got the stars you want in HD (excepting bad person Holmes).

When this premiered in San Francisco the event got a write up in the Chronicle with local pols and scribes making the scene. A flying leap at crossing over that didn't make it to the other side.

Somehow one of the more faithful Dracula adaptations. Make sure to watch both cuts for more story or more sex.

Also the Amazon listing showing image without the slipcover so is slipcover included with every 4k release or some only?

It includes the alternate Love at First Bite version on blu-ray. The UHD only includes the Dracula Sucks version.

The slipcover is not included on Amazon and only on the Melusine website.

Thanks for the reply. But from my understanding Dracula sucks having some hard-core scenes as well and they are more lengthy and extra on the Love at first bite. Is this correct?

Now I asked the Amazon customer representative and he told me this comes with a slip so are you sure that slip is website exclusive only?

I believe both cuts have hardcore content (still haven't watched Love at First Bite ) with some scenes longer in the first cut and shorter in the other (and vice versa).

Typically Amazon doesn't get the LE but perhaps they did for this title.

Here is some information on the different releases.

The film exists in multiple versions:
- hardcore version titled "Dracula Sucks" (~94 mins) believed to be the earliest and most coherent edit of the film;
- R-rated softcore version titled "Dracula Sucks" (~81 mins);
- a US VHS edition titled "Dracula Sucks" that used the hardcore version as its basis but removed every hardcore shot (~87 mins);
- hardcore version with some different longer hardcore scenes titled "Lust at First Bite" (~74 mins).

Yeah I saw that on Imdb as well but was still confused. Now I got it. Thanks. Still not sure about the slip though. I am not a slipcover person but this is embossed slip and its one expensive title so I hope it comes with a slip.

I don't know really. This customer representative transferred me to another specialist (according to him) and he told me he can see the DVD I am inquiring about comes with a slipcover. Yes he said DVD but they always use the same word always but I don't know if to take his word and just order it. If only I can know this release has more editions than the Limited ones only then I can assume if it has a slip or not but don't know any way to find this.

I don't think there is any way that a rep would have any idea if there is a slip. They're not going to see the item in the warehouse. I would assume it doesn't have one unless it's from a third party seller who originally bought it directly from the distributor.

It's sold and ships by Amazon and I was wondering the same but this guy told me he checked in the system. I an honestly not sure if he actually did but confirmed me he can see the item I inquired about has a slipcover. Its so confusing really.
